26 July 2025 - 🚀 Major Update Incoming: User Roles, AI Superpowers & More!

We're rolling out a massive and highly-requested update tonight. As with any big deployment, some things might get a little... spicy for a short while. If you run into any issues or notice something odd, please get in touch with our support team first thing. We'll be on high alert to squash any bugs.

Now, for the good stuff.


✨ The Big One: Granular User Roles & Permissions

You asked (and asked, and asked), and we listened. For all of you managing larger teams, you can finally restrict user access and assign leads with precision. We've documented the new user roles:

  • Owner: The all-powerful one. Can do everything.
  • Admin: The trusted second-in-command.
  • Trusted Employee: Can view all leads if the Owner allows it.
  • Agent: Can only view leads assigned to them.

With the new UI, you can now assign users directly from the inbox.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: How to Activate This Feature

This feature is NOT turned on by default to avoid disrupting your current workflow. To enable lead restriction, you must follow these two steps:

  1. Assign Roles: First, go through your team members and assign them their new roles (Owner, Admin, Agent, etc.).
  2. Assign leads to users.
  3. Activate by Owner: The company Owner must then go to Settings and click the button at "Isolate assigned leads from Standard users" to turn on.

Until the Owner clicks that button, everyone will still be able to see all leads, just like before. There can only be one Owner per company.


🤖 New AI Superpowers Unlocked

1. AI-Powered Lead Assignment You can now create conditions in your AI Tools to automatically assign leads.

  • Example: If a lead mentions "payment" or "invoice," you can create a rule to auto-assign them to your finance person. They'll get notified and can jump right in.

2. "Atomic" Appointment Scheduler This is a game-changer. Our new scheduler tool is "atomic," which means it works in one clean step:

  • It captures the appointment date/time from the chat conversation.
  • It updates the lead's custom field with that time.
  • It removes the lead from the "booking" automation and adds them to the "appointment reminder" automation.

Why is this a big deal? "Atomic" means it either does all of the above perfectly, or it does nothing at all. No more accidentally sending reminders that say, "Hi, your appointment is at $appointment_time."

A quick heads-up: The AI prompt for this is a bit fragile at the moment; you need to be very specific. V2 is already in the works and will make this process much easier and harder to mess up.


✅ Quality of Life Improvements You'll Love

  • Smarter Tag Filter: No more typing tags manually every time when you want to filter leads. You can now select from a list or just press a button. Even better, click a tag on any lead, and the inbox will instantly filter to show all other leads with that same tag. This will save you so much time.
  • Better Mobile Notifications: Get more meaningful notifications for lead highlights and escalations so you never miss a critical moment.
  • AI Audit Log: AI isn't magic (well, mostly). When it doesn't do what you expect, you can now use the audit log to see exactly what was triggered and why. Troubleshoot your prompts and integrations with total clarity.
  • Website Crawler for Custom Tools: Your custom AI tools can now be pointed at a website to go and fetch information. Go try it!

  • Public API (Your instructions to us): Our API allows you to programmatically interact with our platform. You can use it to give us instructions, like creating a lead or requesting company information. This is how your application talks to us.   • Outgoing Webhooks (Our notifications to you): The new Webhooks feature is how we talk to your application. Instead of you constantly asking our API if anything has changed, we will instantly push real-time data to a URL you provide whenever a key event occurs (e.g., leads_created, leads_updated). This combination is perfect for keeping your CRM instantly synchronized, triggering custom operational workflows, or sending tailored notifications to platforms like Slack. To ensure data integrity, every webhook payload is cryptographically signed with a unique secret key. And to make development a breeze, a detailed log of every request and response is available for each webhook you configure.
